I've been recording for about a decade. I think I've made good strides in that time, but am always trying to learn, grow, and improve. In that spirit, I thought I'd ask for feedback on my latest demo. It's a "praise and worship" song. (If you're new to P&W style, it's easy-listening pop with lots of recording gloss.) I usually prefer recordings with more grit, but I wanted to stay true to the genre.
My song is here:
I've added a few more themes. We have three to choose from now!
To select and choose one you like... see select-theme in your account settings.
Just saw this, for all the techies out there...he shared a bit of cool details about the orginal Radar designs.
I hope this is allowed. I have a successful recording studio based in the midlands UK. I am looking for a business partner. Ideally a producer/ Engineer/ or songwriter who can bring in clients and make more use of the current set up. This would involve some form of investment (financial or asset). The studio is Pro Tools based with large control room and studio areas along with separate editing/ mastering suite and in a countryside location. The premises are rented, but the owner is sympathetic to our needs. I, personally, have nearly 40 years experience in the industry.
We have produced two promos about our transfer services and posted them on Youtube. You might find them interesting.
Here they are:
Thank you everyone for your patience as we are on the home stretch with migration now. Bare with me as I test a few themes out this week.
Just received a licence for Samplitude Pro X6, in this video, I test the new features announced on Magix website.
Let me know if I should test something else !
I'm in need of some advice. I've recently taken a piano faculty position at a University, and have been given quite a bit of funding to use as I see fit and I'd like to dedicate a portion of it to a decent 2-mic setup. As a preface, I would like to say that we have an excellent engineer who has a ton of experience and an awesome equipment list. He's also a very busy man, and I don't want to bother him every time I want to do a bit of recording, especially since I tend to record at odd hours. To be clear, I do have plans for a solo classical album, and I will be exclusively going through him when I record it.
I have a trusty old Apogee Mini-Me pre-amp/compressor with drivers that don't work with anything beyond Windows XP.
For a time, I got away with using it via SPDIF through my trusty old Egosys U2A - it's a cheap little USB Audio Interface which amazingly has both optical and SPDIF ins and outs and cost me less than $100 about a hundred years ago. (I know! Right?)
Basically, the U2A was doing nothing to add to the sound beyond passing through one digital source to another digital source.
