My MXL 770 is very low volume and there is a noticeable hiss.
I haven't used it in a while and the last time it was on a different computer and it worked fine.
I use a Neewer 48V 1-channel phantom power supply.
I am not very experienced in troubleshooting this kinda stuff so if anyone could help me thatd be great!
I put an audio clip so you can see what I mean.(gotta crank the volume)
We give music lessons via Zoom calls and achieve good quality sound by using a mixer as the "microphone" in Zoom.
One of our students wants to have the same setup, however, I've hit a snag in my mind for what to tell him. The three components are microphone, guitar, and backing track. All three go into the mixer, and then we USB out from the mixer to the computer and use that as the microphone in the Zoom settings. Simple.
I am based in Surrey and I am looking for a reliable and hopefully reasonably prices professional audio equipment technician.
Any recommendations are appreciated.
I've been watching with (originally) sum scepticism on the mic mods but I just watched and listened to the MXL Marco swapped the capsule in, and have started to think a bit. The 47 diaphragm the Chinese are making pops up quite often, and in every case - it seems to get positive comment. Going to the Neumann YouTube videos, I've been looking at how they're made and come to the conclusion that maybe, it doesn't sound good because it's Neumann, or AKG or whoever, but simply because the design is good at being nice to listen to?
Hey guys - this might be an unusual track for this forum - so I apologize. Curious what you guys think:
Just saw this interview from abbey Road, a great tour through their microphones..
Hello guys! I search new Dac for my system, in Google I saw this article (Moderator Edit: SPAM link Removed) and found a Topping DX3 Pro with very good specs, this model is already outdated and now there is a DX7 Pro with the same good specs for $ 650, what do you think is it a great deal?
6 Klark Tecknik DN27A in for work. Its amazing to me the changes over the years. 2 units have input transformers and output transformers. The two will transformers will get a electrolytic cap change and general inspection. Of the four remaining, the most similar two will get Jensen input and output transformers, cap change and inspection. One unit had permanent power cord modification, that is going to get changed back to the original style power connector.
