Hi everyone

Can I use tube mic with tube mic preamp ?

For example Numann M149 with Avalon vt-737 tube preamp...

yes you can,

i sometimes get the priviledge of engineering very harsh sounding female vocals... tubes have great way of refusing horrible transiants to pass through them... smooths them out more than just eq...

use your ears when deciding, may work well in one situation, but be dull and fuzzy in another.

oh and did you mean Avalon VT-747 ?

:oops: sorry for the big mistake what I meant is vt-737 not 373.

The 747 is a mastering tool as I know not a mic preamp. 8)
