hello everyone,
does anyone know if this altec preamp/mixer rack unit is any good? I found two in a pawn shop and i dont know if they are worth it for 150 bucks each... if anyone knows i'd appreciate your opinion!

Those were mixers intended for installed PA systems. They had many plug-in options so it's hard to say what they are. It could vary all the way from being a pretty good deal to the pawn shop having paid way too much for something that somebody found in a dumpster.
