Have you heard an all in one box or one the computer based DAWs that sound good enough to compete with pro level gear.
Am I supposed to believe that a $150 PreSonus and a roland VX890 is supposed to compare to an Oxford console and whatever the pros use to record?
How about the boxes like the Mackie md24 et al
How about pro tools, is it that much better than everything else?

No. If it actually did sound as good and was usable as pro level
No. If it actually did sound as good and was usable as pro level gear pro's would use them. Having said that, they are good tools for doing demos and low budget albums. You can get good results with them, but you have to work a lot harder.
