Hi,

I gonna do a live recording up to 32 tracks at once.
Any H.Drive Recorder recommended?
for my case what'll you suggest,get 2 pcs of 24track or a 48track recorder?

Yes, get the HD24XR, or if you really need more than 24 channels, two HD24XRs slaved together.

To use the FirePort, you take the hard drive caddy out of the HD24 and plug it into the FirePort. You connect the FireWire connector on the FirePort to a FireWire port on your computer. You run the Alesis transfer software and it transfers the recorded data to your computer's hard disk, track-by-track and song-by-song. It ends up as 24-bit .wav files which some (but not all) audio processing programs will read.

EXACTLY!!

My version of DP (2.7) won't handle the .wav's, so about the only transfer I've been doing is onto the drive instead of off... other than uploading to ftp.

The only other thing to consider is the midi transport... my BRC is a PITA with the HD24's. I've been tweeking with the midi transport in the GS3000. It ain't perfect, but it's pretty functional.
