This post is for people familiar with the GarageBand recording platform--
Is there a way to execute time signature changes and tempo changes in the same song? I'm having some trouble changing the metronome and/or the signature during the song without having the song start completely over. In other words, I'm stuck using the same signature throughout the entire project for some unknown reason. A couple of songs we're recording demand a few simple sig shifts (4/4 to 6/8, or 4/4 to 6/4) and would appreciate any help in learning if there's a way to do so with GarageBand. We have been keeping time with the metronome on GB, because merely "winging it," which as of now seems like the only way to perform the desired signature and tempo shifts, is a bit uncomfortable for us.

garageband won't let you change time signatures or keys during songs...it's a limited software. the idea is that you'll like garageband but need more, then end up buying one of the various forms of logic. what i used to do is just have my drummer use an external metronome when he was tracking and base everything around that.
i know it's not what you wanna hear, but that's just the way it is.
