Did you plug it in? That should tell you everything you need to know. Just be glad it wasn't an expensive mic.

ya, i have the same mic and i lived up in minnesota last year. and ive done that on numerous occasions (not as many hours ofcourse) but it still worked perfectly fine for me. expensive or not, its a good sounding mic for the price :)
