Greetings,
I am new to the forums and new to the AKAI DPS16...

The user manual for our recorder has MIXDOWN to DAT or DISC information but is inadequate for mixing down to burn to CD...

We have the SCSI burner, tested functional. The AKAI only burns two tracks (that I can tell), so I am assuming that we need to record (mixdown?) all the tracks in a song to two tracks, and burn those two (stereo) tracks to a CD.

Can anyone here give us a rundown on the process to get all recorded tracks to two for burning?

Thanks in advance!
steve

SoundonSound quote:

"The 16's mixer offers that special stereo 'ping pong' bus, expressly for bouncing. You set up a mix of the disk tracks, external audio and on-board effects that you'd like to appear in the bounce, assign them to the bus, and on the Patch page assign the outputs from the bus to one or two disk tracks." Once you have the mix to the stereo track it is ready for final mix and burn to CD or DAT.
