Atlas Pro Audio is selling an unused Soundelux-U195-Microphone-w-Shockmount-warranty_for the same price as a new Bock Audio 195 with warranty through Bock.

I'd like to know for sure whether these mics are absolutely identical, and if not, which is the more valuable piece.

The sales representative at Bock Audio Designs told me today that there's zero difference between the two mics: both made by one guy with the same components, albeit in different locations. I'm still waiting on anecdotal discoveries.

Presuming the mics sound identical, do you foresee the Soundelux becoming more valuable over time?

no way. Soundelux was just a business selling other services and products. Bock was the force behind the mics. The mics are not vintage. They are not going to be investments. The only possible shot you would have there might be the 100% recreations from Telefunken USA. But that is a crap shoot too.

The name on the outside of two identical modern mics is not going to determine the value, IMO.
