I just upgraded my mixing/mastering DAW to a Quadcore with 8GB RAM, Nuendo and vista64 and XP64 (got connections at work 8) ) and to my frustration found out that there are only old crappy XP64 beta drivers for my delta, that don't even work (at least not in my case... nice work M-Audio! you suck! ).

So now I need a low latency interface with two analog outputs , one or two analog inputs and a perfect driver support with Vista64 and XP64, and it wouldn't hurt to have a RCA S/PDIF too, but it's not nessesary. PCI, PCIe, USB and FireWire all work for me.

I don't need a preamp or monitor control as I already have that in seperate units.

I just picked up an E-MU Tracker Pre USB audio interface. $149 It is as good as the 1616M that I also have. Very pleased and satisfied with it using it as my mobile 2-channel. Can be used in standalone mode as a mic pre for times when you have an extra line input available but no mic pre, and also has pre A2D analog inserts. Like many other audio interfaces, you may need to use an external pad on hot mic;s or real loud sources. There is no master anlalog out level control (unless you use the headphone out)

Works with XP & Vista 32/64 drivers. Both XP64 & Visat64 worked perfectly 2-3ms (no plugs, recording/playback only) for the last few systems I used it on. Full bundle of free very useable lite DAW versions of Vista compatible software to boot. Way cool. I'm just tickled with this thing. Another great E-MU quality sounding product with outstanding value. Glad there are still guys like this around in these times. I'll likely submit my comments/review on Harnony Central.

Oh, and your completely dreaming about ever getting perfect driver support from any audio computer product.
