Just realized I am in possesion of one of these. It's a buddy of mine's but I've been inadvertantly borrowing it for about three years now but never tried it. Is this a good mic for anything in particular? Just wondering. Also, there are a few Audio-Technica "Pro 25"s. Are those the same as an ATM25? Thanks.

Interesting looking Shure ribbon mic. Try it and see. Graph shows it has kind of a weird dip between the 1kHz-5kHz, where it then rolls back off, but that may make it less harsh for certain things? Then again, could just make things dull for some stuff.

Also, looks like it has a switchable impedance, so don't forget that.

Thanks Kapt. I'll have to try it on some stuff and see how it goes. I was hoping someone would pop up and say "Holy S**t!!, Those are like a small fortune and the best mic ever!!!". Oh well. It is a ribbon and I havent ever used one so it'll be fun to check out. Thanks again. Oh yeah Remy, havent forgot about you. I just need time and money and I'm there. Unfortunately that hasnt really happened in about 13 years. I would certainly let you know if I was going to be near the northeast states, that's for sure.
