I bought the new Masters TDM HD bundle with my Pro Tools HD system and it's useless at sample rates above 48k! NO TDM Support. RTAS works for sh*t on a g4/533. It is useless.

It does sound good at 44.1k but it's useless otherwise.

I complained to WAVES and they offered me a discount for upgrading to a gold bundle... but of course I can't get my money back since I already installed it. It's a useless plugin for HD systems at HD sampling rates ... be warned!

I learned my lesson... read the specs carefully before buying and don't trust WAVES.

Aww, Waves is a little bit better than "useless." I mean, I've had GREAT results with theirplug-ins even though their anti-piracy device is a little irksome.

BTW, I know it doesn't feel good to hear "I told you so," but at least you learned to read around a little bit. =) The latest version of Waves, I believe, came out before PT HD. In passing, I've seen a lot of complaints that there is basically no plug ins for TDM that support the HD sampling rates in PT yet.

FWIW,
krack (or [k]) is a tool for getting past the copy protection, warez are the actual pirated softwares, serialz are, duh, serial numbers for the software...and I think e-cue was talking about stealing crack (rock).

I tried to get the word out about this a month or so back on the DUC. The new chips are not strong enough to run the heavy duty plugs at 96k. Waves admitted then that any plug that takes more than 50% chip usage at 48k would not work at 96k without compromising quality in coding.

This is Digi's fault...simple math should tell you that if you double the sample rate your gonna need double the power. But alas, the new chips are only 20% more powerful.

I don't think it's fair to call it Digi's fault. It is a limitation created by their (and OUR) need for compatability with past products.

System X should allow much more extensive use of native processing. I suspect we're just caught between them having their new generation of hardware out but not the new software meant to go with it due to Apple issues.

It's my fault for registering the damn thing before I demo'd it.

They should have put the 96k disclaimer on the box AND the documentation... not on some obscure web page. It was misleading. Isn't it natural to assume "HD" means higher than 44.1k?

At this point, they're NOT returning my phone calls. I'm not giving up yet though...
