Speck eq's?

Has anyone used the Speck ASC eq's (2 of them linked) for their stereo bus? I'm a big fan of Avalon's eq's but Speck's are well cheaper. Are they anything close?

Speck's aren't what I would normally reach for on a stereo bus, but I love them for other things. These are what DJ Quik uses all the time... Great for those 'club joint' songs. I doubt I'd use them in many other styles of music other than hip hop or pop.
