i got a chance to buy a radial jdi for a good price and did some searches but they mostly relate to guitars and not bass. i would use it just for bass and I'm using a $50 rapco passive di for bass now.it does the job but I'm thinking i would notice a difference with the jensen transformer in the jdi. think i would? anybody using it specifically for that or should i be looking at something else for bass(active di)?(for a passive p-bass, if that makes a difference).
thanks,any thoughts would be appreciated.

thanks, yeah, i realized that after i posted the late night thread. i can get one for $125 so i'll buy it and try it. i can probably find another use for it down the road if it's not right.
it's funny, i've given the same advice you just gave me to other people in the past. "depends on A-B and C...."

Do it. You will not be disappointed.

JDI is one of the best direct boxes I've had the pleasure of using, and if I thought I could make my equipment riders brand-specific down to every DI I would insist on them for every live gig I ever did.

For the $199 they usually sell for I often find myself torn betwen the JDI, J48, and Countryman...but for $125 a JDI is a no-brainer imho. Buy it.
