Does anyone use an ADAT sync'd with Cubase SX ? Or is the MDM era almost exstincted ? I have a few questions for those who are still going that route. They're sync questions.

Ok let me start by saying I never had any issues with this when I had Cubase VST24 and Win 98SE operating system. I could control the Adats' transport from cubase but now I can't get anything. Better put , I only get general transport activity on the Adat , like you'll hear the transport activate when I set some options in the S/W. Nobody seems to sync their MDMs anymore. I was just hopeing I could take advantage of this before they become exstinct.

For the moment I going to assume that SX syncs the same as VST/24. I would suggest using the ADAT as master and synce SX as slave but use MMC as the transport control of the ADAT. Before using the MMC you might want to make sure that SX syncs to the ADAT using the ADAT front panel or with LRC to send the play command. In VST/24 they had the system menu for sync set-up. Check your settings under SX. If all else fails there is the forums like http://www.cubase.com for help.

Thanks guys , Well I very rarely use my Adat. It only has something like 105 original hours. It also has the original protective film on the display. I've had it since the summer of 2000. The reason I hav'nt use it that much is because of the onslaught of Native Audio Recording. It definitely sounds good. I'll take some time and think about selling or trading up for a Mackie SDR2496 or a Tascam MX2424 or something , if thats my last resort. I've also checked at cubases forum too. Nobody seems to have an answer.
