I need to record vocals with OK quality for a few songs using Cubase.
I don't have a pro home studio. I just need to know if it's a reasonable microphone to start with.

The C606 WAS Shure's "better-than-a-toy-but-not-by-much" mic that they offered for kaoroke enthusiasts.
Is it a "reasonable" alternative to a "real" mic? Hard to say...most folks here would probably steer clear of it.
When you consider that the ubiquitous Shure SM58 can be had for $100 and won't break up the way that the reviewers say that the C606 does, it really doesn't make sense to go with the cheaper mic.
