Heyy this is my first time posting on this site but it seems pretty helpful from what I've been reading. Any help solving this problem would be much appreciated.
I've been having trouble recording with my M-Audio Firewire Solo ever since I got my new computer, experiencing a lot of latency issues and distortion when trying to record. I've done a lot of reading about possible causes of this and it seems that it's most likely an IRQ conflict happening with my hardware. Here are a couple of screen shots of my device manager, I just need some suggestions on what to disable.

Also, I only have 1 firewire port but I have about 8 usb ports. Would it be easier to just purchase a usb interface instead to decrease the chances of an IRQ conflict by trying it in multiple ports? Thanks in advance :biggrin:

Make sure your Firewire Controller uses a Texas Intruments chips
Make sure your Firewire Controller uses a Texas Intruments chipset. Other firewire chipsets are known to be flaky with audio devices.
