My Uncle has just got resein or whatever you call it and hes got a new sound card with it so he can change the buffer time so there is no delay. But when he plays cords fast they after about two cords the it sorta cuts out and nothing plays. Whats the problem ?

Making the buffer small to reduce latency often taxes the CPU. It sounds as if you may have taxed the CPU into choking. So try increasing the buffer until you strike a balance of acceptable latency and performance.
