Hi, I'd like to know what everyone thinks the best string library out there is. I know this is subjective, but just tell me what you think is the most useful and "real sounding" string library you've heard so far. I use Gigastudio 160 and bought the Garritan Strings - great stuff, but, as with all libraries, I think there are things that could be improved.

All opinions welcome and appreciated.

Mario - Garritan's library is fantastic. I've heard good things about all you mentioned - one thing is that they all cost tons of $$$ - my Garritan Strings cost me like $800 - that's a lot of $$, so it's not that I can make the investment multiple times on similar libraries. Perhaps something less expensive that filled the gaps?

i haven't heard it for myself, but have heard great reviews and people talking about the Vienna Symphonic Library. They recorded every nuance from the orchestra so that you don't have to tweak it in the software.

apparently it's amazing. if anyone's started using it pl let me know as i'm looking out for something like this myself.
