Hey guys,

I am having a problem with my Waves L1 plugin . It is creating an out ceiling at -3dB, even if I set the out ceiling at -2, -1, or 0. Essentially, I am losing 3dB of headroom on any track that I use the L1 on. The weirder thing is that I am only experiencing this problem with the mono version. If I use the stereo version on a stereo track limiting a stereo signal, it works normally.

Have you guys ever experienced this issue? Does this sound like a reinstall and hope that it works properly kind of thing, or what?

when recording to another track?
when boucing the stereo output?
when using it in audiosuite?

if the answer is one of the first 2 answers, couldn't it be that you pan is at center position of a stereo output??
that could be your problem!

It's happening all the time, not just while performing specific functions. That's a good idea, though. I was thinking it might have something to do with the pan pot, but I don't know how to tell or how to fix it.

Put a L1 on a mono track (with signal on it)! Adjust the threshold so you have some limiting happening! leave the out ceiling all the Way up!
Route it to a stereo track/bus! Record on that new track with the pan at center position!
what happens then?
Record the same thing but with the pan at far left position!
what happens then?
