Hi my Gurus!
Where and in which kind of projects have you guys been using linear phase eqs?
Are you fans of Weiss digital eq?
What other brands have been doing it nicely also?

What about the myth of Waves Linear Phase? some say it is a nice tool to add hi shelf, some say it sounds a little funny in the high mids...

Nothing like having the true opinions.
THanks
Nice weekend
:p:

I like the Waves linear phase EQ- it's good at some stuff, not at others. It's harder to hear it working, and it sounds less like you're EQ'ing stuff, which is great unless you want the sound of EQ'ing stuff.

I rarely use it in a mix, although I've got some stuff to mix that wasn't tracked all that well, and I need the vocal to sound different, but not processed any more. It's good for that.

I do use it mastering fairly often, and almost always in 'low ripple' mode, 'cause that's what my ears tell me.
