Oh my God! My own forum??? Oh, Thank you! I'd like to thank the acadamey. Thanks to all my loyal fans out there without whom this would have never been possible. Thanks to all the people that have flamed me, (and fuck you). Thanks to RAP for giving me the opportunity to post my first articles. Thanks to Fletcher for inviting me to participate in RO, and for all his great advice (and incredible entertainment value) through the last couple of years. [Sniff, Sniff...]

Seriously though, I think this will be great to have a mixing forum. God knows it's my favorite subject, aside from sports, so why not?

I'll officially open this forum in the next day or two, so bear with me until I can get my shit together.

In the meantime, if anyone has any topics that they would like to start, or questions, feel free to post it in my forum.

Thanks,

Mixerman

Sure, I'll start...

What's the best delay?

Cheers and welcome aboard.

This is great!! :o

Just glad to be a part of!!! :D

BTW, I think that better if we don't know who Mixerman is. I like trying to guess. It kinda reminds me of the days before music videos, when all you had was an album cover and the rest was up to YOUR imagation. Remember Abby Road?

My vote for best delay is the Line 6 delay modeling guitar pedal. It'll set you back $249.99 at Guitar Center and worth every penny. This groovy little box will take aux level right off the console, but you will have to return to the board with DI's to a mic pre for best results.
OK Mixerman where's my buck? LOL

WOW!!!
There is some tremendous talent openly sharing so much on this site. Its just overwhelming. I mean, I'm actually blushing thinking about it. Its the sort of thing your parents would slap you on the back of the head for, assembling such massive talent and then sharing it, its un-parelleled. In some cultures you'd be stoned or crucified for being so tremendously informative. Its almost too good to be true. I dont know who mixerman is though, but he seems quite the cool fella

Your dam right about that!

I just want to say. MM this is going to be great!

The email I sent out to the members anouncing Mixerman didn't go to well with a few members. I got a few replies back yelling at me saying "I CAN MIX THANK YOU! Not Impressed!

hehe. sorry to offend the odd one in that departmemnt. I appologize for insulting your intelegence. It wasn't my intention to make anyone feel like they can't mix. :c:

Yeah, well I can see how some people might get a little pissed by that. I thought your e-mail was nice, Chris. but, let's just put this to rest right now.

Many of the members here know how to mix. Well if you are one of them, PLEASE give me a hand. There are allot of people that will come by here and ask questions, and I can't possibly answer them all, nor am I necessarilly equipped to answer them all. Diversity in opinions is important to me for this forum.

So if you got annoyed by Chris' e-mail, let me be the first to appologize for that gaff. But don't leave me stranded here. If you have something to offer, then do it. Like I said, I want a discussion forum, not an ask Mixerman forum. I have only one perspective, of many valuable perspectives.

Maybe a silly remark, but I couldn't help noticing you got a very cool member number there, mixerman: "1176" ... Now :D

Also from me a welcome aboard and thank you. I'm sure I will learn a lot here, and even if I maybe would not agree with some mixing techniques that might be offered (every song is different...), it will still be cool to try it and to know it exists... and it might come in handy sometimes.

Thanks for doing this Mixerman!

Cheers from Belgium

Hey Dave, good to see you lurking here. I've been digging the Line 6 modulation modeler which is in the same package as the delay you talked about. Great stuff. Too bad their modeling amps stink so bad.
