Hi everyone, a few changes have taken place this last month. As you must know we are a 100% indie site running on shear vibe rather than a cash pool. It's inevitable to loose people for coin. Fletcher and Mixerman got offered the big bucks to try and help PSW get off the ground and I don't blame them for taking it. Too bad we aren't "yet" able to pay everyone but maybe one day. Sad but true, money rules and we couldn't pay them to stick around but hey...weez rockin and not slowing down. ;)

Welcome aboard Jon, Ang and Dave.

P.S. we have room for one more mod here, if you have any ideas, let me know.

Hi all, I had a nice time in England, the good folks at SSL took great care of me, and I spent an enjoyable day at Jules' studio, the Library, in London.

Jules enjoys a luxury that I envy: Rather than having to turd-polish whatever the artist brings in like most of us usually have to do, he is able to pay the bills while finding and bringing in good new indie rock artists and picking their best songs to personally produce them at his studio. The result is great recordings at his hands, leading to how-does-he-do-it-sounding mixes. Typical "Jules trademarks" across the various productions I heard were luxurious, long-lasting cymbals, super shine on the OH and HH tracks, nice thwacking snares, thumping toms, and excellent vocals+electric gits sounds/arrangements/mixes. Great stuff!

Anyhoo...I'm discovering this mixing forum...and I plan to learn a lot here from all of you, while hoping to give some back, too. I'm slightly more than up to my eyeballs in the upcoming launch of the coziest little "high-end" studio in the country...but I'll do my best to hang here a little bit every day, weather and win32 viruses permitting.

A big hi to Dave and Ang and Chris -- happy to join the tag team!
