Hi.

I`m workin on a project where I`m trying to capture some of the magic from "Fleetwood Mac - Rumours" Does anyone know anything about how that album was recorded? I`d greatly appreciate any information regarding audio-gear, instruments, recording techniques, . anything.

Thanx

hi dex...there was a great tv series here in australia called "Classic Albums" it was a 1hr special and all the classic albums recorded and the fleetwood mac rumours album was one that i saw...i know the series is available on video and dvd but in not sure where from the show still runs on a pay tv station called music max here and was also aired on a network called SBS.
If you can get the whole series it was awesome and very informative....hope this has helped

That show is tremendous. It was originally aired as a series on VH1 here in the states. They did another one on the Band's eponymous album. Truly cool stuff. They broke down different tracks, showed how things were recorded, etc. Really captured the vibe of the original sessions. The Mac show has a great bit w/ Lindsey Buckingham and Richard Dashut taking apart these wild background vox parts for "Gold Dust Woman." You're going to dig that show.
