Youve written a song and you want to sell it to someone else. How do you go about doing this.

Can anyone suggest a good place to sell songs. Anyone signed up with tonos. Aparently there good.

Im talking about those organisations that post out newsletter and stuff with bands and solo artists looking for new original songs.

:) I can't vouch for any of these sites that perform these services.

I would check out some sites that are all songwriters, and go from there. They are small families of songwriters and would enjoy your participation, you get some info and help. Try the http://www.thefreedomexchange.com Also, visit

Muesli,

Hi there, I would recommend that if you are considering joining Taxi that your prepared to have material to send in....so consider how much time it's gonna take you. Try and get one of their listings so that you can see if you have anything that they might be looking for. While it does change from month to month...some of it is pretty standard.

Also, my understanding (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) but you don't really "sell" a song. Someone "publishes" it. I don't know all of the in's and out's but I remember being suprised on hearing that you don't actually sell it to someone but you agree to allow them to publish. I guess you could consider selling it if you don't negotiate the time that publishing rights return to you...but as I'm stepping into unknown waters I shall just shut up now! :D
