Hey fellas. I have a TLM 103 and I'm trying to find a really good Pre for it. I will be tracking Vocals and Acoustic Guitar. What would you match up with it and why? Dont think about $$$$. What pre do you think would make the mic sound the best. The TLM 103 capsule is designed off the Neumann U87. :D

I use my 103 all the time with a Great River MP2NV then thru a E
I use my 103 all the time with a Great River MP2NV then thru a EL8x distressor. Dig it. With that pre and that mic you get no noise, hiss etc. You can also color up the MP2NV and get the neve vibe happening. I've owned a few Neve, Meek, Drawmer etc pres and I think this pre is one of the most versitle pres made. It sound great on just about everything imo.

I would suggest either the Great river Me-1NV or the Avalon M5.
I would suggest either the Great river Me-1NV or the Avalon M5. I have both and have used them with a clients TLM 103 ( I don't own this particular mic) and I really dig the sounds.
With either of these pre's, every mic you have, will become more valuable in thier use. They also both make great DI's.
