Hi

I have a PreSonus Firepod which has 8 mic inputs with phantom power on 2 blocks of 4 inputs. At this moment I have 4 condensers and some dynamics.
I'm planning to buy 2 more condensers.
I would have to switch on phantom power for all 8 inputs.
Could I savely use dynamics on the remaining 2 inputs (sm57 / md441u / d112) ?
Or is it necesary to buy external phantom power to power my 2 new condensers?

Cheers

FAQ

Does phantom power harm dynamic mics?

It is totally fine to have phantom power on while using dynamic mics. It shouldn't cause any problems. Dynamic mics simply ignore the DC current from pin 2/3 to pin 1.
