Hello,

I'm new to this site so if my question does't belong in this section please direct me to the correct forum.

I have a G4 500mhz, OS 9.2, 1gb ram,. and I'm currently running Digital Performer 3.

The problem I'm facing is that when I delete big files my recordings start crackling until the system indexes itself. the problem is that it only happen once a day at 12am. I would like to index my mac manually or set it my self. Is there a way to do this? Please help.

Thanks,
Dagruve

to create or schedule indexing in OS9:

1. open/launch sherlock.. in sherlock's find menu, choose index volumes...
2. when the index window comes up, click on the volume you want to index...
3. then you can choose wherther you want to create an index manually, or set the schedule to a different time.
