How many Mb will CD standard use in stereo per minute?

Also, what does bit depth relate to?

Well, they are usually 80 mins, right?

In that case, if you divide 700mb by 80mins it equals 8.75mb/min which is 146kb/s (rounded up). I really thought it was alot higher than that.... But I never really tried to figure it out.

I think we're getting kiloBytes (kB) and kilobits (kb) mixed up here.maybe.... And I think I converted slightly wrong too.

149.33 KB/s (kilobytes)
1194.67 kbps (kilobits)

Thats if a kilobyte is 1024 bytes

Now, my other calculations are right if 1 kilobyt=1000 bytes

146 KB/s (kilobytes)
1166.67 kbps (kilobits)

Now I was confusing kbps with KB/s. The music I have is kbps, not KB/s. So those numbers make alot more sense.
