Just received a licence for Samplitude Pro X6, in this video, I test the new features announced on Magix website.

I got the impression that the things that changed from the old one, you were not that impressed with - all those popup warning windows and changes to quite fundamental things. On balance, if you had paid for it, would you have been disappointed, or just slightly annoyed they'd changed your way of working and kind of forced you into new ways? Cubase does this to me sometimes when new improvements wreck my older way of using it.

The dynamic eq sounds good to me. Really competitive with 3rd party offerings imho.

Im really curious what the resampling engine is all about. Does it mean you can use tracks with mixed sample rates/formats, or maybe its oversampling on pluggins to help reduce aliasing (my latest rabbit hole)??

The edit while playing is something i used to use all the time in DP7. Great for cutting out stuff or separating regions to be edited ect in one pass.

I didn't see enough to upgrade from x5, but i could see it as quite worthy if i was still on x3 or earlier.

Very useful vid.

I really don't know about the resampling.. I was on the impression it was more about when you use a plugin with oversampliing options.. but miss match sample rates.. hum... I'll have to test that.. ;)

I also encounter a problem when recording a long take, it stops at the set default object lengh.

I discovered that it doesn't do this if you choose a longer project lenght when creating it.

Then after solving this, my monitoring problems seems to be gone.. the only thing I didn't test, it may come from a vip created by an older version.. Still get the routing feedback alerts tho..

Adobe audition used to do this. I forget if there was a setting in the menu or i just had to zoom out on the timeline.

It would make me insane if those error messages weren't able to be disabled. Maybe they will send you a script like they did that other time.

Looking forward to learning more about the re-sampling thing. It seems like maybe they are porting features in from sequoia.
