Hi all

I just got my new mixer Behinger UB2442FX pro, how ever I was wondering if some one could help me clear a doubt on Phantom +48 on Dynamic mic. I have 5set of Drum mics (CAD drum tour mic) which can be connected via XLR inputs on the mixer but If I need to use the drum mic set along with a condenser mic on the same mixer will the drum mics get effected by the +48 phantom power that is needed for the condenser mic, Or is there a risk on the mixer board if I supply +48 to a dynamic mic?

I am quite new to recording and would appreciate your suggestion and advice. Thanks to all in advance

all things being equal and no unexpected faults

there is NO problem

the phantom 48volts is equally on both pins 2 and 3
.. with respect to ground
the Mic trafo is on pins 2 and 3 so the net effect on the trafo is zero

that was a crappy explanation
so
do a google search and you will find many phantom explanations with diagrams

it's all good

I’ve never killed a ribbon, even! Did a video about it and plugged a ribbon in to check. https://youtu.be/zP…
