I just bought the zoom H2. Could someone tell me if there is a way to voice activate to record. I have a very inexpensive tape recorder that has voice activation on it. i need it for lectures, so i need it to start recording when the professor speaks and then stop when he stops and start again when he starts.
so far ive only been able, thru auto rec. to get the H2 to automatically record when i speak, and stop when i stop. But it will not start up again when i resume speaking. If anyone knows how to do this would you pls. advise.
Kind regards,
Lynne :?

You spoke too soon Ms. David.

Please don't triple post.

Consult page 39 in your manual, Consult page 39 in your manual, Consult page 39 in your manual.

It looks pretty easy.

However, depending on where you set your recorder, and room acoustics involved (amongst everything and everyone in that room), you may not get very good performance out of the auto start and stop feature.

You will most likely have to read the manual a few times, and learn through trial and error how to set it up properly. You might be better off just recording straight through the lecture, as the media is cheap and setting it up wrong may loose some important information that the lecturer is trying to convey to you.

Important information like, RTFM, or help yourself learn, or don't expect help getting your homework done from online forums by cross posting.
