micing string quartets

Hi All, I'm going to record a string quartet next week and I was hoping to hear some mic tecnique suggestions. I have a choice of two different rooms, one is a very "live" small hall .... it has a high domed ceiling and hardwood floors. The other is a medium sized hall although fairly "dead"...
