Don't care about any A/D section (got a HEDD 192 for that). I'm looking for a 2 chan. high sample rate (88.2, 96k) PCI card (preferably AES in) as an alternative to a MOTU 1296 ($1500 will get you what I am describing plus 12 chans. of some pretty good A to D, but I'm looking for less expensive options). I use a MOTU 2408 & 308 for multi channel inputs to my Mac. Anyone know of such an animal?

Bill,

What are you going to use it for? What are you trying to accomplish with it. I know get sound in :D , but what is your situation you are trying to come up with a solution for? Might be able to help better if I knew this.

My goal is to achieve a high sample rate digital input
from my HEDD into my Mac for mastering purposes.
Multi chan. input is not a factor in this case.
I'm getting a few posts about the RME & Lynx cards.
Has anyone had any experiences (positive or negative) with either card?

After checking the RME site, there does not appear to be any mention of Mac. Midiman Delta
DIO2496 is another suggestion I got. Thanks to all
for your time.

Here is something about RME's Mac support

I have an older RME Digi32 and it's alright - on a Mac.

Cheers
