Burner Interface Problems?

Having problems with all my burners. I have a G3 with both SCSI and Firewire burners. I run both Cubase and PT as my main recording software. The strangest thing started happening the other day when I tried to burn a speech file. The final audio file burned to CD plays back a little slower than the previewed program track. Now before you say it, I've checked the sampling rate with all my interfaces and internal clock settings. Everything was done in 44.1. I tried burning with first toast and then jam, the results are the same, just a little slower than the original program. The final aiff file previews fine prior to the burn process. I fine that the problem only happens after the burn. I tries reviewing the CD on other players, thinking that the problem may be the player but it's the same. I've tried doing everything that I can think of to correct the problem but nothing seems to work. I can't determine if it's a software problem, processor problem or....
Any thoughts?

Did you try trimming down the extensions? If you have the Toast CD reader extension enabled you should disable it..Apple allready has a CD reader extension that should be on and not the Toast CD reader extension.
Also make sure you have all the latest firmware updates and drivers for the Apple and the CD Burner

Hey...Good idea! I do have a lot of extentions on. I'll give it a try when I get home. Will let you know how it turns out.

Thanks

I wouldn't assume there's a mobo or proc problem unless there are blatant skips in the audio. If you are only getting a simple slowdown, I would re-check the entire clocking setup. The session may say "44.1" regardless of the speed the hardware is actually slaving to. (Possibly a broken clock generator?) If you want some more suggestions, describe your whole system in detail.
