Hey Team, I'm a home recordist with a Pc based setup (Acid, Soundforge, Echo Mia) My front end consists of a Joe Meek Mq3 and a Studio Projects C3/Marshall 603s. I want a warm sound! And.....I don't want to have to use much EQ to achieve it, Anyone use a Great River ME1NV? I spoke to the guy who designed it today (Dan) and he was very cool and patient....he told me to try the Joesephson C42 small diaphragm for acoustic guitar and the Shure SM7/Sm57/Neuman TLM103 for vocals
(he said the Joesephson stuff was the best)
I'm doing mostly acoustic guitar and vocals, and I read somewhere on here that the GR units get muddy after a few tracks. I've heard some good stuff about the RNP and the two tracks would be nice....but isn't that thing chip based? Not that that's bad, but It sounds so "digital" - My Meek is chip based and Vocals always fall short. I want the problems to be within my performance, not my gear....
