Hi all,
I'm currently working on a project that I'm eventually going to be delivering in surround sound format.
Are there any online resources you can recomend for discussion of surround mixing techniques?
Initially, my newbie questions are going along the lines of:
- placement of stereo sources in a surround matrix
- sidechain use for compressor and effects ganging
- phasing, and stereo and mono compatibility
- mid/side recording techniques and the surround matrix
- creative use of the center and sub channel in musical contexts
If you know of a place as cool as this one for discussing this stuff, please let me know.
