Need to beef up 'Wish You Were Here'

I work at a radio station and years ago my boss asked me to adjust the intro on Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'.
Quick reasoning is that the transmitter automatically calls everyone when there's perceived 'dead air' and the intro was tripping the transmitter so it needed to be beefed up a bit.
I did it with some amplification in Adobe Audition but there's a very noticeable change in the level once the intro changes to the full acoustic guitars, drums bass.
Can anyone recommend a method for increasing the loudness of the intro without affecting the rest of the song?
I contacted izotope about doing it in RX6 but they recommended just using a limiter/compressor on any DAW.

I'm surprised your radio station don't already have dynamic processing on the signal before hitting the transmitter.
Most have a compressor, a multiband compresor and/or a limiter.
If you still want to modify the file itself, there is a lot of ways to do it.
If you ask me, any audio processing software with volume/gain adjustment can do the job..
I would mostly automate volume changes to make it seamless.
In RX, you can do a selection and affect only that part of the song if you want...

Oh to finish, most Canadian Radio use software audio players that have that remove silences automaticly but those software can be used to re-record the song while riding the faders on the mixer..

Automation is probably best in this case. If you're not familiar with it, probably any studio could do this for you very quickly/easily for very little money.

Or maybe some parallel compression could help here.
