Pearl 8-CK microphones - anyone?

Just bought two of those - will get them next week. They are large diaphragm condenser with switchable characteristics and a rectangular capsule.

Does anyone know their sound?
What did you use them for?

Yes, they were made by PML, but the only informations I found so far was on this page: http://www7.tripnet.se/~jazz/equipm.htm

If they are the same model I used about 10-15 years ago, they are quite bright and crisp.
What they a good for is a subjective question and answer dependant on the situation. BG Vocals, overheads, hi hat, piano, acoustic instruments in general.
