Recording On A Laptop

Okay,

So I picked up a Apple G3 Laptop that has 1 firewire port. two usb ports and a line in and line out.

Already had a version of Emagic Logic on the machine. I have a peavey mic and a compressor.

How do I record to the laptop?

For Midi I bought something that handles that pretty well. Just need to know how to get audio in and out and at a good level!!!

Any tips on recording in general will be well appreciated!!!

How much would you like to spent on your audio interface?

I own a Tascam 428 USB which is nice since it has got a control surface that works well with cubase (logic dunno). You could try the emagic 6/2, which I have not used but seen more than often on laptoprockers events.
And of course, there is always the wonderful RME hammerfall DSP, although i don`t know if its for mac, too.

Oh, and motu have a firewire interface out.
