I’ve got two sets of monitors for a/b purposes... one decent set and One crappy set. Commercially mastered tracks sound good on both..... my tracks sound good in the decent set but overdrive the crappy set.... any thoughts on this?

Try lowering the output signal from the source and see if the distortion cleans up. The crappy set might not have the same headroom.

I use cheap speakers for this very reason. This is a good indication you need to improve your mix. Your mixes likely have too much sub freq.
You need to use hpf

Awesome thanks.....I usually high pass everything 60 and below. I agree my mixes are hot and I do need more experience with dialing in the low end

I often put way more hpf on everything but the kick or bass. You likely have too much of every above 60hz too.

You may need to improve your room to hear those subs in the first place.
