Hello! I am a new member to this community and a newbie  in the recording arts and music production.
I have a home studio and I record and produce my metal band for our first album. Apart from other equipment I own a Yamaha 01v96 version 2 digital console and the burning question is this: Are the mic pres in it good enough for recording guitars, vox and keyboards or will I need outboard preamps-preferrably tube- for good sounding quality? I'm leaning towards the latter actually but the research I've done throughout these past weeks has confused me even more
. Also I haven't found any single comment on this mixer and specifically its preamps...
To be more accurate, I plan to record guitars via an sm57 and one or two condenser mics (Neumann tlm103 and one more, probably a rode) in distance in an isolated booth, vox via the tlm and keyz and the budget is up to 750-800 Euros... Any advice would be very helpful!
Thanx!
