We have been working on this for the past two and a half years and it is finally finished. My tech wiz, Rhys Davies, built the whole unit himself and wired it. We had lot of changes along the way but it works GREAT and we got exactly what we wanted. S/N -95.5 dBM, Distortion .0005%, Frequency Response 20 t0 20 KHz +/- .5 dB. It is built in an old "industrial control unit" shell that we got from the surplus store. It is built using the  MTC board from here https://www.ka-electronics.com/shop/. I am very proud of Rhys, he is a junior at Ohio Northern University studying electronic engineering and has worked here for 4.5 years as an intern.Analog transfer console

We do a lot of audio restoration. Some from tape, some from cassettes, some from vinyl and this is what we use for the transfers.

Thanks for explaining. Doing a search on transfer consoles, the Dangerous Master came up which I owned loved it. I never knew it was called a transfer console. Is yours the same idea?

Ours is similar but without the inserts and M/S processing. Ours also has built in filters, if needed. I am sure our unit is probably very similar to the one you owned but ours was hand built over a number of years with many changes in direction along the way. It sounds great and works well. I would not want to do this design and build over again as it was costly and only worked because of the dedication and professionalism of Rhys Davies.
