Everyone:
I'm looking for a shotgun capsule for my C451EB. I realize new gear that fits this AKG modular mic sustem is no longer made, but there are used mic capsules out there.

** Anyone have experience (positive or negative) with an AKG C9 or C8 shotgun capsule? **

Either one will fit my C451EB. It sounds great with my CK1, even though that capsule was dented by a drummer long ago (it was a snare mic onstage).

Will I get the same great sound with the hypercardioid / shotgun pattern using the CK8 or CK9?

My intended application is sound recording for documentary film.
