Can anybody say what's the noticed difference in audio when dynamic disks are enabled?
I just ordered my lifes ambition of a sound card (5bills), so I am strapped for a period of time, but I gots to know!
How much performance or what type, in audio can you expect from enabling dynamic disks?
I suppose I must upgrade to xp pro, now that I have "come to", ON THIS "NEW" ISSUE...ha

Dynamic disks will not give you a performace increase. You can use dynamic disc to create RAID volumes which in theory could give you a slight boost. But creating (software) RAID volumes in windows is not a good idea. If you want to create a RAID I strongly suggest using a hardware RAID. Using a dynamic disk config is probably best suited for creating a mirror set of your system drive in which you will need two disks of the same size or the second disk (ID#1) the mirror at a larger capacity. A mirror set is used for redundancy i.e. if you primary system disk should fail you can run off the mirror. So do not enable dynamic disks it could cause problems down the road. Just make sure DMA is enabled on your data drives.
