Dear all,

I am new to microphones and would like to ask for your advice.

I am looking for a microphone for stage use, for duo singing. Such that two singers' voices would be picked up by the same microphone at the same time and the singers wouldn't have to sing directly into the microphone so that they can sing harmonies simultaneously. I am looking for something like one of the options in the pictures below:

EverlyBrothers

SiomonAndGarfunkel

What type of microphone should I be looking for? Condenser, ribbon, dynamic, etc. and what pattern (cardioid, omnidirecrional, etc.)? Or if you have a specific microphone brand and type in mind, that's also nice. I would intend it for stage use primarily, but it would be nice if it could be used in the studio as well.

Or would you advise against using one microphone and recommend just using two?

Your help is much appreciated!

Best regards,

Daniel

These are all "wide cardioid" microphones which is what you are going to want to buy. Not in any order...
