Hi all,
I normally do not do cover stuff as I like to focus on writing original songs and you are always compared with the original. In preparation for a big mixing and mastering job for our band's first EP, I decided to do a cover of a song from my favourite band AIC as a test to see how close I could make a production to the original with limited effort. And it was also fun!

It was an interesting exercise mixing a live one-take acoustic guitar and lead vocal track with the rest of the instruments.

Perfo is good but you sound like if you were in the next room.. I'd reduce some verb, get closer to the mic to get more low end.
It's the second mix I here from you, the balances are nice but again it misses something in the mids.. maybe your monitorsroom give you too much and it's tricking you to mix less.
