I'd appreciate any feedback on this mix. The end still needs a little work for sure.

Feedback on the mix? This is a mix? I mean, well I mean... yeah, it's a mix. I guess you can call it that? So... how's that for feedback? Not good? Sorry.

OK, first, the guitar is sort of sitar like, quite thin, no balls, kind of floating, doing nothing, going nowhere, not sounding like much. Kind of just doodling. Kind of like a cold breeze. A wet cold breeze. Is that what you wanted from the guitar? I like to hear some of the body of the guitar and I'm not hearing that. So maybe it was a sitar?

The vocal... you didn't use much energy, no support, no air, I didn't get it? How can I tell ya to make something better if you cannot deliver better. It requires performance value of which is lacking. You don't sound like you're from Kentucky LOL. Taste like chicken. I think it was Cockney Harlan Sanders? What do we have now? Kentucky fried fish & chips? Somehow that just doesn't sound quite right? And neither does your mix. I really couldn't quite figure out where it was going? It really needs to go back into that high pressure fryer a few more minutes I think? You need that golden brown rasp around your voice.

Is it soup yet?

Matt,

Keep up the inspiration, I mean, you are writing and doing it. And this is a good thing. Its all about not giving up and practice. And you have the balls to post your stuff and ask the pro's so good on you!

Remy is right but let me say something that you can do right now. Kill that harmonizer and develop better pitch. Your vocals are really pitchy and when you add that lame harmonizer, it compounds all the out of tune phrasing. Practice being as real as you can. Don't rely on these lame plug-in toys that make you think you are hip in a pro world. Its not dope. Its a crutch that will ruin you. Trust us on this one. You don't want to become good at being bad. Follow me?

Please re track one of your songs without that harmonizer. I want to hear the guitar and vocals clean, a little reverb and mix it for us.
