I need something along the lines of 'scar symmetry' or even mainstream as 'breaking benjamin'... You know, just real professional and thick.

Anyone got anything like that for reason they dont mind sharing?

you can always sample from recordings you like. propeller heads released a refill for studio drums recently, and listening to the demo, it sounded really good. but what i would do if i was on a budget, is get one of those rock drum lessons on cd, import the (audio track) drums you like without accompaniement onto your program(protools, logic, cubase, cakewalk), then "slice up the waves" to what you need, like a kick hit or snare hit. the difficult part is the hihats. unless you want a delay, you'll have to magnify pretty deep to make the cut precisely at the beginning of each wave signal and at the point you'd like to cut it off. save everthing as wav or aif files, and then you can use these samples on redrum or an mpc or whatever.
